Aloha Friday: Saved Cards and Letters
Friday, August 28, 2009

Welcome to my week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
According to An Island Life, In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the rest of the weekend, by asking a simple question for everyone to answer.
My question is:
Do you ever save cards and letters or throw them away? If you can, show us one that you saved.
My answer is: Yes. I still have few cards and letters that I received from my husband way back year of 2004. The year we've met and settled down.
Here are some of the cards we received from each other during our birthdays, anniversaries and valentine's days.
If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link to An Island Life blog.

My husband and I met when we were 14, and we were best friends for a long time, so I have cards and letters and notes from him. I also have kept some birthday cards from my parents, as well as a sentimental letter my mother wrote. (We're not big on emotions in my family - so it was especially meaningful.)
Here's a picture of the card my husband gave me on my 16th birthday.

Everyone insisted we liked each other, which we didn't, but we made a big joke out of it. The card said, "Face it! You want me!" Inside he wrote inside jokes and quotes from friends who insisted we had a thing for each other. (Later, yes! And we still do!)
I keep them for a while but then I toss them.
I'm so disorganized in this area! I save stuff, but don't have a good system for keeping it organized, so it gets scattered. I have things my husband and kids have given me...pictures and cards...but they are in various different locations. I need to come up with a good way to store it all!

I like to save all the letters and cards.
I have kept a few card and letters over the years, but generally after many years I throw them out.
I have saved various letters and cards over the years. In fact we just moved and I found some old cards from my kids that just mean the world to me.
