Ready for the Wedding

Sunday, May 30, 2010

Next month, we were going to a wedding. Well, it was actually my husband’s friend wedding. Finally, he is going to tie the knot. As for me, I am so excited about it. I think this is going to be much different since at some point this is going to be my third time to be in a wedding but much different, no relatives or family is around.

Well, since I am so excited about it, I thought of buying myself a new dress again for the event or maybe just wear my old ones that I wore from previous weddings we’ve attended but I wanted to buy a new one. Before that I think I need some quick weight loss diet plan before the big event because I don’t like to gain weight and can’t wear any dresses now unless I go for a bigger sizes. Though, it is not my wedding but it is just so good to feel attractive on that day and also to my husband’s eyes as well. I wish I wouldn’t catch any other eyes that would be another story.

Anyway, I am quite so excited to find a dress to wear; I didn’t know there will be 11 days to go before the wedding. Well, I will have 10 days to do some quick weight loss diet. I'm crossing my finger here!

Happy Memorial Day: Remembering

Tomorrow May 31st is Memorial Day which is a federal holiday of United States of America. This day is very important for us. This day is not only a holiday; this is a glorious victory day in the remembrance for those men and women in military services who have died in our nation's service. Besides this, it is also an emotional holiday for many people because this day honors the fallen soldiers of the US Army. The history of this day dates back to the 19th century and is more complex than it appears. Like many holidays, time has somehow lessened the historical importance of Memorial Day in people’s minds. The US government still holds a service every year to commemorate its fallen soldiers. The ceremony is traditionally held every year in Arlington Military Cemetery which is attended by thousands of people. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is particularly honored and the nation is addressed by the President.

At present, Americans observe Memorial Day not only to commemorate the fallen Civil War veterans but also to honor all American soldiers who laid their lives in war. On the same hand, Memorial Day still remains more than just a day off from work for Americans. This holiday is also a fun day for celebrating the arrival of warmer weather.

So, on this day, happy Memorial Day to those who celebrate it!

Love Style is Balanced

On Saturday Six:

1. Which would you rather be without: your teeth or your hair?
= That was a hard question. Well, maybe teeth because I can find easy treatment when it comes to teeth, I could make myself not to smile and maybe get some false teeth. But with hair? Well, it is expensive to get a hair to regrowth again and it is can be impossible or it is. So, I guess teeth but I'm hoping none.

2. If you had to lose one, would you lose an arm or a leg?
=Wow, what a tough question! Well, let me think....maybe an arm. This way I could still be able to walk you know and do something with my other arm. But with a leg, I can't do anything with one leg, so I guess an arm but still praying that none will be lost.

3. Would you rather have a beat-up jalopy that never breaks down or a stylish sports car that breaks down at least once a month?
=I don't care about social status at all, so I go with beat-up jalopy whatever. I would rather have a car that no breaks down. Once a month is crazy! So, I guess I would stay with this car. Where can you find this beat-up jalopy anyway?

4. Would you rather be able to write well or speak well?
=I would rather speak well than to write well because I love to be with people but sometimes I am just not so good at it. I lose my sense of socialization and smart talking which I had when I was still in the Philippines. Maybe, it is because of the country where mostly people talked in English language. It is just so hard for me to cope with it all the time, every time.

5. God offers you the chance to meet him in person, which would require you to be the strictest of his followers: would you rather meet him and accept that responsibility, or not meet him and live on faith??
=Well, I would rather live in faith. I am not ready to meet him yet. If I do then it might be the hardest thing to do. So, I rather live from day to day with faith.

6. Take the quiz: The Either Or Love Test

Your Love Style is Balanced

You tend to approach falling in love practically. You don't let your heart get ahead of your head.

You see love as an important part of your life, but it's not the whole picture. You keep romance in perspective.

You see love with your head, and you believe in working on a relationship. You think communication is key - as well as core compatibility.

You are swept off your feet by actions. Being treated to a special date or a homemade dessert makes you feel loved.

Aloha Friday: Change for the Better?

This week on Aloha Friday:

It's finally weekend and TGIF! This week question is:

We all have something we'd like to change about ourselves. Inside or out... what would you change if you could?

=My answer is yes. Lately, I've been trying to lose some extra pounds that I gained when I got pregnant with my son three years ago. Then, I've been on a diet plan, I stopped drinking soda and just iced tea or water. I am also planning to enroll in a fitness class, maybe sometime next week. I just wanted to make changes on my weight, although, I am not that big where I only weight so far 123 pounds but wanted to make changes and maybe lost 10 pounds.

That's my plan and I think that would consider an outside change but with inside, I don't have any. Maybe, my sleeping routine. I've been sleeping so late and I think it is not a good idea at all. I need to do something about it.

How’s things?

This week on 3x Thursday:

1. How has your sleep been lately? Are you getting any? Is it fitful?
=Well, I've been sleeping so late lately because of being online until morning. I needed some sleep but I can't able to make it since I'm already used to it. If I do wake up early even though I slept so late at night, maybe that would work for me to change my sleeping routine again.

2. How’s your general health lately?
=My health was good. I've been working out lately and trying to lose some of my belly fat which I had three years ago.

3. How is your mental state these days? Feeling okay upstairs?
=I'm absolutely fine. I'm normal and I'm feeling okay whenever I'm going upstairs.

Cleaning Chore

Thursday, May 27, 2010

Last night, I was having a blast cleaning out bathroom toilets. When it comes to cleaning toilets I always make sure there are no stains or spots left behind, so I have to use bleach when it comes to fighting stains and even discoloration. Good thing we have a good quality toilets because if not, then it would be hideous now. One of our toilet was bought a couple of years ago, it was one of the Toto toilets that my husband bought before we got married. Then, the one toilet by our living room was just another brand name which I find very well too. It was still nice in color and just has to make sure it was still free from stain.

American Idol Proclaimed!

Last night, I’ve been watching American idol since it started a couple of weeks ago. Then, last night was the finale. I know at first, Lee Dewyze will win the title. The 24-year-old former paint store clerk chose "The Boxer" from inspirational-tunes week for his encore. In the very first show, he was already my bet and a lot of my friends too. Last night, I was so optimistic that he will win because people loved him. I loved his voice too. He reminds me of David Cook as well. Then, also his features and personality reminds me of one of the member of West Life named Mark Feehily. They have close facial resemblances and that’s why I like him, the voice is just a plus. Mark Feehily is a good singer too and his voice is just so sweet and romantic.

When Lee performed the song entitled Hallelujah, I was so impressed. He just has the talent to sing and his voice is husky, sweet, one of a kind, and very exceptional. I’m glad he is the next American Idol Season 9 and he deserved it.

Dance Work Out

The last time I talked to my sister was like a few weeks ago. She told me that she’s been working out as well, trying to lose some weight that she had during her pregnancy. I thought it might be a good idea because waiting for a long time after giving birth is not a good thing to do because it might be harder to lose that extra belly fat. So glad she’s doing it and losing weight is actually the best thing to do after birthing.

Anyway, she told me that she also does the dancing workout, but she can’t do the dieting yet because she was still nursing her baby. She couldn’t even take any weight loss supplements as of now because she always wanted to be careful for the sake of her baby. I think exercising, physical work out can be helpful in times when it always being performed every day. It might work out because dancing is really a powerful exercise. This is what I did too while taking some supplements as well.

Summer is Here!

Last month, I thought summer is finally here but then the weather was fluctuating. It’s warm but then it’s getting colder when the night comes. I was thinking it might be winter time again when during the day, it was cold. So, when the May is almost over, I noticed that the sun is finally here. So it means summer time is really around the corner. About three days in a row, the warm weather stayed for a very long time. It was now in between of 70 to 80 F here in Michigan and I’m so happy about it. I am just tired of being in a cold weather state you know.

Anyway, this time of year, I just like being outside but sometimes, tasks online prevented me to go out though. I need to them before they’re gone. My husband and I were thinking of going somewhere warmer and maybe will visit my father in law at FL. It must be nicer down there.

Well, I am just so happy it’s finally warm now! Here I come summer time!

My offline friends were basically still in the Philippines right now and it's been a long time since I talked and seen them although I talked some of them online now but we're talking about offline friends here, right? So, I have to keep my mouth shut from talking about my friends at home.

Pinay in States' Daybook for May 25th

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

This week on Pinay in States' Daybook:

Outside my window... is a nice warm weather for like 86F. Nice out!

I am thinking... of going to the mall today and go to NYC to get some of their stuff. They're having 70% off!

I am thankful for... a nice warm weather, finally!

I am wearing... my short and tank...

I am remembering... to get myself a new flip flops!
I am going... to the mall today and buy some things I need at cheaper prices, then went to the mall's food court and I had some Chinese food.

I am currently reading... Nothing
I am hoping... that someday my son will eat any food I am going to give to him! He's so freakin picky eater!

On my mind... I'm thinking about my blogging assignments that I need to do before they expire...

Noticing that... my son can able to produce sentences and ask questions exactly as what I could understand. He's getting bigger now!
Pondering these words...Don't aim at success - the more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue... as the unintended side-effect of one's personal dedication to a course greater than oneself. - Viktor Frankl, Man's Search For Meaning
From the kitchen... dirty plates from last night...

Around the house... toys everywhere! Books every where...

One of my favorite things... watching movies with my husband, play with my son, and blogging. Surfing the Internet and watch my favorite shows online.

From my picture journal...

My son's picture portfolio that was taken from his toy camera! What a good picture taker!

Went shopping for My Man

Last weekend, I went to a department store to look for some new clothing for my husband and also for myself. I just can’t help it not to look for something for myself that were on sale whenever I’m at any of my favorite department store too, so I had to look and see if I could get cheaper clothes but before that I need to go to a men section first. Well, I have found some nice clothing for my husband on sale, I was so excited until I have found out I was at the wrong sizes, they were big and tall clothing that I thought would fit my husband but not so sure about it. My husband is neither big nor tall at all. I think he was just an average guy so I went to another section of the store and so glad I have found some nice clothing for him on sale as well, and some shorts too that would fit him definitely.

Then, I went to women clothing section and I have found some on sale as well but I wasn’t so sure because I don’t need that much of top clothing for now. So, I had to control myself and went back home afterward. So glad my husband likes what I bought for him and now he's wearing some of them.

Aloha Friday: Shopping: No Kids Allowed

Friday, May 21, 2010

welcome to Aloha Friday!

Thank it's Friday and I'm thinking of how exciting it was not to go to school next week! I've been dying of waiting of my last class to get over and I just last week, I was at the end of the line finally. Now, I am going to enjoy my break and just enjoy the spring time. I didn't take any summer classes because I did for two years and I think it is time for me to take a break.

Anyway, what are your plans for tonight? Any plans at all?

Well, for me, I have some few plans that I wanted to do tonight, like going to the mall but before that I had to wait my husband to get home. So he can watch our son. I hate going shopping with my three year old, it's just a night mare especially if you need to try on some clothing or even on a pair of shoes. Also, you have to watch them all the time unless if they still sit on a stroller. So, with all these drama, it is better off for our son to be with my husband while I was out and do my shopping thingy. I think that's a good way to pamper his wife, right? Send her to go shopping! I like that!

So, my Aloha Friday question is:

If you have kids, do you take them when you go on shopping? If not, then what did you do? Hire a babysitter?

If you don't have kids, what do you think you will do if you one?

I think it is way better for me to read your comments with your suggestions and advices! I would be glad to use them for myself!

Ranting and Longing

Here I am again ranting about our white kitchen sink that I despise every time I cleaned up and spray with bleach to get off the stain that I was dying not to see. It’s been like this, it is going to worst when we had our pasta dinner and of course tomato sauce is just a mess. I just don’t like the kitchen sink anymore. Every time I wash a piece of non-stick pan on it, it shows scratches afterward. Isn’t it the worst kitchen sink ever? I think so.

Now, I am thinking of getting a new kitchen sink. I have seen this double stainless kitchen sink of my sister in law, the first time I was there, I really liked it. It was deep too and I just envied her for having those elegant, stain resistance stainless kitchen sink. I wish I could able to see that type of kitchen sink. Although, I have found a wide selection of stainless steel sinks online and I bet all of them are just perfect for to replace our old kitchen sink. I wish we could able to do the makeover and I just can’t wait. Then, I would have any problem at all about stain and scratches.

Feelings

On The Friday Five:

1. How does true love feel to you?
= It feels like heaven. It is more like you feel secured and just a real happiness. A feeling which associated with acceptance, encouragement, and just a feeling of seeing the beauty of being in love.

2. What makes you feel warm inside?
=Well, I guess knowing that I have family and friends who always there for me and that I could count on them whenever I need their help. I think it is one way that made me feel warm inside.

3. Have you ever been in true love?
=I think I did but not sure about it. I think it was just in the middle of being in love but real love might be another way around. I don't know. I think I did but as I have found the real, genuine love, I guess this is what the true love is. No jealousy and endures life's circumstances together.

4. What's your deepest wish?
= I wish that someday I could able to go home and visit my family and friends. Enjoy the food that I missed so much and being with the places that I once had been lived. I think I just missed some old times I had before I came here in US.

5. What's the one thing making your inside cringe with longing?
=I think for being alone sometimes, missing my family back home, old things that I used to do when I was still living in my country, the food as well, my mom's cook especially. I think all those stuff makes me feel wanted and long for something that I really wanted to do.

Well, that's all about my feelings...how about you?

The Allergy Monster

This week on #x Thursday:

1. How have your allergies been this year? Are they any worse than usual?

= It was better than before Fall. I had sickness before the winter weather kicks in. Now, it's spring time, I have noticed that my allergies was not that bad at all. Maybe, a less stress helped me out as well. I have also noticed that when my husband changed his body deodorant, I experienced less sneezing and I felt fine. I think that's way better than before. I considered it as of the reason why I experienced less allergies.

2. Have you had any problems related to allergies this year? If so, what?

=Yes, I had difficulties dealing with colognes and perfumes. I only have one perfumes and some colognes that I'm fine at, but sometimes I guess dust allergies play the big part as well. Changing of weather is on of the reason why too.

3. What steps do you take to deal with your allergies when they get out of hand?

=I just deal with it and let it go by doing nothing actually.

Still doing the Traditional way...

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

When it comes to paying bills, we have still doing the traditional way of paying them, as always through mailing. My husband wanted to try the online way but I was hesitant since if we do it then all the bills will be all online and it is just so hard because then, you can’t able to track down except with the idea that when you receive it on the mail, you can remember and just send it before its due date. A lot of people said that online payment is quite easy and safe to use but who knows, I still don’t have the trust. Despite the fact that sometimes we do it online, I still pay most of the bills we have through the use of mailing. I still can able to just write a check, use some self-inking address stamps, and then put some address labels on them. It was just not hard plus you can guarantee that everything will be safe.

Although, there are some don’t and do’s about online payments but still I love it in a traditional way and even the traditional way of mailing the bills have some deprivation too but I think it’s just the way it is. It always depends…so what do you think about this? Are you doing online or offline ways to pay your bills?

Chores?! Not Chores!!!

Last week on 3x Thursday:

Which 3 household chores do you hate the most? Why?

Well, I hate doing household chores but there are some of them that I really despise and I hate doing it over and over.

1. Dirty Dishes - It's a never ending chores...every time we had meals there's always new batch of dirty dishes. Although, there's a dishwasher but you still need to rinse some of them before putting it into a dishwasher.

2. Hand washed clothing and not dryer friendly clothes - lingerie and some hand wash clothing. It takes a time to wash them with hands and hang them until they dry. It takes a lot of time and effort to do it unless you want to destroy them right away after first use. ugh!

3. Lastly, cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, and living room floors. After sweeping and mopping the floor after a day or two, it's dirty again. I hate this chore, also vacuuming the carpet. I wish I had some magic sweeper and mopper!

Confession of a Shopaholic

Thursday, May 13, 2010

Every time I went shopping online one of the things that I always go check out was either a piece of accessories or a piece lingerie. I am very fond of shopping online because I could easily find what I am looking for. It is so fast, easy, and even saves me time and money especially if there store are giving discounts and promo codes. I will confess I am addicted to shoes, handbags, and lingerie. If I have given thousands of dollars to go shopping, I bet I will buy more shoes, handbags, or even more lingerie. I don’t know why but these are just my favorites. I just love to shop and I guess it is a woman thing. I know a lot of women out there sympathizes me. It is not our fault that we love to shop, right, but of course, to those who did.

If you don't like to shop, well lucky you but no...I mean it is just depends...but I love it!

Gone almost 45

A few weeks ago, we went to the mall again, as usual, that’s where I’m heading every time I wanted to buy something either for myself, for my husband, or for our son. When I am at the store, my husband said that he wanted to go to a restroom and will be back, so I agreed.

After a while of looking around, I wonder for the first time, hubby took so long. When he came back I asked him where he went aside from going to the restroom, I don’t believe if he said he was in the bathroom for like almost an hour or maybe. Well, he told me before I even asked that he went to the electronic area of the store where he went for a restroom and he saw a new Samsung HDTV which a lot of people had been eyeing to. He tried the new innovation of television the 3D version. He told me about it and he was impressed with it.

Now, I know why he was taking so long, well, he’s a guy and I think its part of them being into a new technology because me, I don’t care. I just enjoyed it. So at the end of the day, I bought what I want and we went home.

GT: Friends from School

Wednesday, May 12, 2010

This week on Girls Talk:

Last week, I had so much fun finding old pictures on the album I brought with me a few years ago when I came here in US and now I'm having blast again and I guess, I need some help from high school friends whom I still have communication with.
Here are some of the pictures I've got:

Meet my high school friends from Bernardo D. Carpio National High Shcool in Davao City, Philippines.

This was taken from my wedding last December 2004. I think this is the only pictures I've got with them.

From left: Glenda, Liza, Angela, Fred, Lea, and Sharon. Lea was in Florida right now, so glad she was just almost so close to me but still far far away. Angela was in California though.

And here's our high school picture! Very unforgettable moment! IV Quezon batch 2000.

Unfortunately, I don't have my pictures when I was in college I left them all at home. But, basically, some of them on above pictures was my classmate when I was in college like Sharon, Lea, Fred, Glenda, and Angela...

Also, from right Sharon, Vivian, Daryl, Jurizel... Vivian and Jurizel are also on the same college I went to. Basically, I maintained old friends when I was in college.

Done Anything Interesting Lately?

List and describe 3 interesting/fun things you’ve done lately.

Well, I don't have that much interesting things or fun things to share but I guess, I will share some things that I have done lately that somewhat made me happy.

1. Shopping! I did a lot of shopping lately and now I'm always out of money! I have done a lot of shopping and looking for sale and bargains online or at the stores. Now, I don't have money to buy some baby shower gifts and wedding gifts which are so soon. I wish I could just stop but I can't unless I am out of money on my pocket.

2. Secondly, I'm doing my presentation on Tuesday for my class on Psychology and I'm excited about it.

3. I'm looking forward to move out soon and maybe will move to a nice, warm area of the US. I hope it will be so soon if things will come according to plans, though.

Where I Live?

1. What type of dwelling do you live in? Do you like it? Why/why not?
=I like the state we're living in but sometimes cold weather is getting into my nerves. We have long cold weather season and short warm sunny weather season which is sometimes depressing but I can't do anything about it unless we moved out to a different state. When it comes to our house, it was fine. It was a 3bedroom condo and I guess, it is just good enough for us because we only have one son and us. So, living in a small house is what I really wanted.

2. What about your neighbors? Do you like/get along with them?
=My neighbors were nice. Mostly, they are retired citizens. Some of them are small families as well with young kids.

3. If you could change anything about where you live, what would it be? Why?
=I think the weather and that's the only thing that I wanted to change a little bit. Makes more warmer days longer and even. Well, I am now dreaming to move out here soon!

Need more than a diet plan

Today is Mother’s day and I was so happy because I had a chance to be with my sister and mother in law for quite a while. We went out to dinner with our families and then we headed to their home to watch some movie. Then, I had to eat popcorn again and drink some pop again which is not so-so healthy food to eat but I still did it knowing that it could be header for me to lose weight again. Dieting is one of the best weight loss plan to do but maybe getting myself some best weight loss products can be a great help as well, plus I could get the body weight I want as soon as possible. Well, I think I need to do something about it now because I’m getting older. It is better to do it now than to wait when it is too late already then, I will have too much problem more than I have right now. So, I’m crossing my finger here!

Personal Projects

1. Do you have any personal projects (it could be anything) in the works? If so, what are they? If not, got anything coming up?
=Yes, in the meantime, I am doing my school project but it was kind of a personal because it is a presentation of my life and to those people around me. It was entitled the circle of life. It was fun and with this, I could able to know much more about myself.

2. Have you completed any projects lately? What were they?
=Not yet because I still have to do more about it and I'm not done yet. On some other things, I don't have that much project yet but I'm looking forward on gardening soon when the warm weather is finally here!

3. How’s your health? Do you have any ‘health projects’ (exercising, loosing weight, figuring out health issues) that you have going on? If so, what are they? If not, are you in pretty good health?
=My health was good and I thank God for this. Well, as of now, I only have exercise videos but I never used them. I did a couple of years ago but I stopped. Well, not in pretty good health but I'm healthy, I guess.

What Do You Think…?

1. What do you think about people who spend major amounts of money on their pets? Do you think there’s a limit to how much you’d be willing to spend on an animal?
=That's crazy! I would spend 3,000 dollars on a things that is valuable than buying a puppy! Although, sometimes, having a pet is a good healing to some people but I guess overspending is just out of the way. I think it is not a right thing to do. I think there's should be a limit when it comes to this, especially if you have other kids in the house that needs more things than your pets. It is just no-brainer to do such thing.

2. What do you think of the current status of the economy? Has it affected you (positively or negatively) at all? If so, how so?
=I think it is way too bad here in Michigan. Actually, it wasn't affecting us as much as what other people are, but I have noticed much difference. I think it affects us in some way and I think we just have to find another way out.

3. 7 years later, what’s your take in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?
=I still remember about this war, a couple of years ago. Since I have won a subscription on a Time Magazine and I have known a lot about this war because of them. It was really I think a good way to do so because Iraq and Saddam Hussein is really out of line when it comes to Iraqi people. I think giving their freedom is good thing that has been done by the US.

Problem with Mobile Service

Do you ever had an experience losing a cell phone signal on some locations whether you were in the building, home, or even in the farthest area outside the proper city? If you do then you might be experiencing low signal from the network of your cell phone carrier. A lot of cell phone carrier now a day’s offered 3G or even 4G connections because of this type of problem which sometimes is a big deal.

We had the same problem with our old cell phone carrier, every time we went to my father in law’s house, we definitely no signal there are some location inside his home where there’s a little bit you can get but then it was consistent connection so we switch and now we’re happy with our new network carrier, although once in a while we experienced loss connectivity especially on the basement, but it is better than we can’t entirely able to use our phones inside the house the whole time, right? Well, I wish we can just get ourselves somecell phone signal booster so we can just be anywhere inside the house and we can use our phones at any time without any interruptions, that would be nice.

GT: Childhood Friends

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

This week on Girls Talk Meme is all about Childhood Friends.

These are my friends since childhood when we were like 6 to 7 years old. We always play outside the church meeting hall after our Sunday school session. It was fun and we’re always together. Until we get older and we went to our own separate ways. I think that only place where we can able to meet and talk again is our church in Davao City. We spend time together and just enjoyed our times together.
During our young people’s conference at church or young people’s training where we needed to stay at the church for about almost a month, that’s we can able to enjoy more of our time and spend time more together. Although, we have other friends on the side but we have our own special friendship too.I still vividly remember when we offer ourselves to help a brother from church to visit churches in Mindanao and we went to Surigao Del Sur in Philippines for about a week, it was a boring weekend for us and we wanted to go home but then we can’t. So, we just ended up laughing and just enjoy together as much as we could. It was fun and we just have a good time even though we’re totally bored!

This first photo was taken during my wedding last December 2004. Together with my highshcool friends and classmates and the ones wearing blue dresses are Daryl, Cecelle, and Viane they were my bridesmaids, and my high school and college buddy, Sharon who is my maid of honor. Sharon was my childhood friend too since 2nd grade and will always be but she wasn’t from our church.

The second photo was taken during my despedida party (farewell party) since I will be coming to USA by next day. It was a memorable event and this was my last picture of them together with our husbands. I missed them so much and I can’t wait to see them again someday.

Make Your Life Easier When Traveling

Monday, May 3, 2010

How many times have you gone to pack for a little get away or a business trip only to realize that your luggage was heavy? You have to carry the suitcase around. You go from your house, to your car, to the parking lot at the airport or train station, to the counter. At the counter you check your bag and are relieved of lugging that heavy piece of plastic or leather around until reaching your destination.

That is a long way to have to worry about getting your packed things from the home to the final arrival point. Being that is most likely really heavy, your arm and shoulders will probably be very sore after making the trek. What most people do not realize is that this can be avoided.

How can this be avoided?

Get yourself a container that will hold all your things but does not have to be carried. You should get yourself a bag with wheels.

These bags with wheels could be a suitcase that incorporates wheels into some place that makes it easy to roll around. You can save yourself a lot of arm strain by rolling this case instead of carrying it. You will have only a fraction of the weight when you pull this container with wheels instead of trying to lug it around by the handle.

When you do decide to get a something with wheels, pick it out carefully. Make sure the placement of the wheels are such that the bag rolls steady and does not wobble back and forth. The wheels should roll very smooth. A bag with bad wheels is just as bad as no wheels at all. You should also make sure it has a telescoping handle that is long enough to allow it to be pulled without to much effort. If the handle is to short you may end up with a sore back.
