Outside my window...it's a warm sunny day!

I am thinking...of what to do today aside from blogging and doing my updates and what to get for my husband's birthday next month.

I am thankful for...my husband's 37th birthday is so soon.

From the learning rooms...I can't find a piece of paper, I think I misplaced it again.

From the kitchen...I can smell the Teriyaki noodle I preheated in the microwave oven from last night. It's ready!

I am wearing...shorts and tee shirts.

I am creating...a new style for my cafe world on Facebook...

I am going...to return the jeans I bought online at the store today or tomorrow.

I am reading...the news I have heard from some of my friends online about their friend who had been sent to child for assaulting her husband which is somewhat so cheesy for me. She's tiny and small and I don't think she did it for anger but to protect herself.

I am hoping...to get something to eat tonight...

I am hearing...my son now who is watching his favorite show again on TV...

Around the house...toys everywhere as usual. I think the only time I had to write this post with no toys is that when my son is still asleep yet or out of the house and then I could able to pick up all his mess and put them all in a toy box.

One of my favorite things...well, blogging and playing my favorite games on Facebook.

A few plans for the rest of the week: well, I don't know yet but I'm going to a baby shower and maybe at the mall after ward.

Better Deals on DVR

One of the best technologies today aside from high definition television, blu-ray disc player is DVR or Digital Video Recording equipment that was available from any cable TV network or satellite TV network. My sister in law had a DVR and it was really worth it. When I was at their house yesterday for her son’s birthday, she watched a show that was recorded a few days ago because she missed it when she went to work. I thought that was pretty cool that you don’t have to be in a hurry to be able to watch your favorite show, rather just set the DVR to record the show for later viewing.

Today, I received a package from the website where I ordered something for myself. Enclosed was a flyer about Dish Network offers. I was blown away by their current packages prices and I wanted to subscribe right now. I’ve been looking for an affordable cable TV provider that will give us more channels to choose. The activation was free, HBO and show time was free plus 18 channels for 3 months, free installation, and two room free on HD- DVR Upgrade, it means 1 HD and 1S-DVR, though DVR service applies but still it’s all worth it. I know a lot of cable network offers the same thing but one thing is for sure which one is very affordable and reliable source of cable TV provider.

Anyway, I looked online and I have found Time Warner Cable too. They also offer affordable TV programming packages and DVR packages just like Dish Network, you can get anything you want. I only have few favorite channels and for HD DVR from Dish Network, then I could instantly replay, rewind and play back, or pause live television broadcasts for up to 30 minutes that I couldn’t ask for more. Plus, I can record and store up to 70 hours of programming with the DVR service, and watch my favorite shows or sporting events whenever I want. I think I made my choice; I have to switch now and make most out of my money.

Devoutness

This week on Girls Talk is all about I Love Me, Spiritually.

My foundation of spirituality is based on how I build my relationship with God. I grew up in Christian family values. I joined Sunday schools, young people’s conferences, and even church meetings regularly when I was a teenager. But that doesn’t mean that my foundation of spirituality is in high stabilization. I still have some shortcomings when it comes to my religious belief. Though, I prayed, read the bible, sing praises to the Lord but sometimes there a lot of things to consider in order being perfect to be called children of God. Despite the fact that I had these difficulties, I would still consider to have a strong Christian faith for some reason I discovered it myself. With that, I was thankful and proud to be a child of God and for loving me of who and what I am.

Moreover, I think my spirituality is strong enough to make me think what was good for me and for my family. I always depend on spirituality when I made certain choices and some decisions in life. I have read the Bible several times and I learned a lot from it and see God’s purpose which helped me to find the right direction that will lead me eventually to a good Christian lifestyle. I have found a husband who also God fearing and his family are all Christians as well.

The Gift

Next month is going to be my husband’s birthday and I have two weeks left for me to find that perfect gift for him. I don’t know what to get yet but I was thinking of getting him a gift card again. But I already did so last year. This time I wanted it to be different and yet perfect. I was looking online for some clothing and some men’s accessories such as mens ties, watches, socks, underwear, sunglasses, hats, belts, and so much more and yet I still don’t know what to get. I think that easiest for me to do is buy a gift card for him from one of his favorite clothing stores. Or else, I would treat him to his favorite restaurant or treat him to watch a movie that he wants in theater.

Well, I don’t really know what to get but hopefully I could get an idea someday. I think I have to ask him what he wants first. I don’t want to waste money on something that he really don’t need or want. I just can’t wait though to get him some birthday presents soon or take him out to eat and watch a movie.

Drinky Drink!

This week on 3x Thursday:

Alcoholic or no, what are your 3 favorite beverages? Why?

When it comes to beverages, I only have some few to consider as one of my favorite. I don't drink alcohol since it upsets my stomach and I don't like its taste too. So, I'm not an alcoholic drinker or beer drinker but I'm fond with mild wines though. But it always depend on what kind of wine.

Anyway, I do love to drink sparkling wine too, I find them good and tasty compare to real alcoholic wines. I think it is just for kids but I prefer it than anything else. I also love to drink soda pop but particularly Pepsi. I don't like the US Coke products since for some reason, it tasted different from the Philippines. I think the sugar ingredients has done something with it.

To make it shorter, here are my top 3 favorite beverages:

1. Mango and Pineapple Fruit Shakes - this is one of my favorite. I love the selection of Baskin Robbins Mango Freeze, Taco Bell's Mango Strawberry Frutista, and regular home made mango shakes which is the best.

2. Frozen Mocha drinks - I love this beverage during hot summer days especially when I'm sleepy and tired. I love the Starbuck's White chocolate mocha frappucino, mocha frappucino, and Tim Hortons' mocha.

3. Lastly, Iced tea - I love frozen beverages, I prefer them than drinking hot drinks. I love the regular iced tea but Lipton's ready mix iced tea I preferred. I also love restaurants iced tea such as raspberry and peach iced tea selections.

A few months ago, I’ve been into shoes and until now still shopping for shoes. I know that there are millions of shoes out there but one thing is for sure which shoes fits my feet and meet my preferences. Looking for Work

This week on 3x Thursday:

1. Do you have a job, or are you looking for work? If you’re working, how long have you had your job? If you’re looking, how long have you been looking?

=I don't have a job, I stayed at home with my son but I was looking for a job though. I missed going to work and get a huge amount of paycheck than of what I was making by staying at home. I worked from home through my blogs and somewhat it helps me to buy what I want and for giving me some extra money but sometimes it is not enough to cover all my needs. So, I think it is better to find a job, a real job. I've been looking for a month now. I applied several of them but never heard of them yet.

2. How do you look for work? Do you use agencies, or other means? What are those other means? Which works the best?

=I looked online mostly. I don't use agencies or other means. I just use the Internet. I think Internet works because that's what mostly businesses are doing right now. You can also go to the store and apply but then they let you go to the computer kiosk to apply. There's also ways where you go to the store directly and ask for application form. This will work too.


3. What’s the longest that it’s taken you to find a job? What’s the shortest?
=I don't have any experience yet but if I don't look eagerly then it would take a long time. Sometimes, I'm not serious of looking a job actually. I don't know yet and I'm not sure because my son is now only 3 years old. Maybe when he goes to school, maybe will find a job. The shortest was when I applied as a cashier. I applied like February and I got a call by next month. Then, started working right away.

I am going...to get the mail and see if there's something new! That sometimes excites me!

I am hoping...that soon every thing will be alright. I really miss my family back home and I wanted to go home so bad!

I am hearing...my son singing while watching his favorite movie about Thomas the tank engine.

GT: Above Average Mentally

This week on Girls Talk is all about I Love Me, Mentally.

It means that we will talk about our mental health, our mind's capacity. Well, I find myself on above average I guess. I'm not a genius but my mental aptitude was quite good enough. I don't have any problems with my grades nor my parents. I always on above average but if I have some grades that are lower than average, there are only few. It never even affect my overall GPA. When I was in college, I always among the students who got good grades and passed the class.

When I came here in US and started going back to school, I was surprised for having a good GPA too, well above average, I would say. It's so much bragging going on here! I hate doing this but I have to. It's true though. I think the only problem I have was being lazy and procrastination. I think that's always a part of me if I don't do anything about it.


On jobs, I do good about it. I can do multi-tasking and I always can say a lot when I'm writing but can't speak enough though especially on English but sometimes it depends on my mood.

Well, I think that's all I wanted to say...I can't wait for this bragging theme to be over soon! Just kidding but I'm sort of serious! :D

Haunted Hay Rides on Halloween

It’s four months to go before Halloween and again, it is time for trick or treat. I’ve been doing this trick or treat since my son turned two. He likes it especially when he can get free candies from the neighborhood. I think for him it was fun and for me it was a little bit lame. It is because I’m not used to it and I am not really into Halloween that much because it scares me. I just don’t like the idea of dressing like a monster during this time of year either.

The last time I was dressed up, I was an angel or maybe a fairy. I also acted like a princess when I was little; I always wanted to be a princess. Good thing during those times, my mom was lucky enough to just use the same costume over and over during the Halloween is because I only wanted one costume and it is a princess costume. I remember the first I went to hay rides here in the US where the first time I screamed out loud. There this guy wearing a monster costume with a chainsaw on his hand. It was a scary and I can’t help not to close my eyes and hide my face. I was so impressed with these hay rides Halloween parties because they have these cool Predator Costumes and excellent make ups. It really works to scare people out! I was just so impressed!

Well, even though I was scared the last time I went to a hayride Halloween party, but I will be back. Sometimes, it is fun to be scared!

Outside my window...I can see fish flies clinging to our window glass...

I am thinking...how to wipe the window clean where all the fish flies will just fly and stuck to our window again. I wish they will soon be gone.
I am thankful for...a warm weather since being cold is what I hate the most but sometimes heatwave is beyond my normal temperature...it's crazy!

From the learning rooms...I could see my husband's books, computer, calculator, paperworks, and my son's cars.
From the kitchen...the smell of grilled pork and hot steamy jasmine rice!

I am wearing...a black blouse and a short...

I am creating...a new game now for myself to enjoy, it's on Facebook.

I am going...to sleep early tonight, I feel like my brain was pounding so hard...

I am reading...no books for now...

I am hoping...that sooner we can able to cope up with our terrible 3, he has been very cranky and crabby...

I am hearing...some things falling on the floor on my son's bedroom. So, I will go and check on it. It was his chair and some toys from the table top.
Around the house...toys everywhere as always! Shoes are misplaced and not on the shoe rack!

One of my favorite things...is watching my favorite shows on TV, blogging, listening to music, cooking well sort of, playing games on Facebook.

Finding Nemo

Posting compliments of Amy Motnos

One of my absolute favorite animated movies is still Finding Nemo. I know the movie is older, but it is still at the top of my list. The first time I ever saw Finding Nemo was with my two nieces. Both of them absolutely loved it, and still do to this day. I remember watching the movie with them and both of the girls being one hundred percent interested in everything that was happening, which is not common for these two girls. They both loved the character Dori, voiced by Ellen Degeneress. Her simple mindedness and pleasant attitude was something that both of the girls, and I, found to be very engaging. From the very beginning of the movie, the story line sucked us all in. The story of never ending love and dedication is something that anyone, of any age can appreciate.

We recently watched the movie again on our dvr for satellite tv and we were just as interested and touched by it this time, as we were the first time. The story is one that will never get old. Each time that I have watched the movie, I have found something new and entertaining that makes me laugh. As my nieces have both gotten older, they are picking up on new aspects of the movie that they never noticed before, as well.

=Well, I would wanted it to be on the hands....then it would be easy for us to get separated...Or else it is just an area where we can able to be walking hand in hand...

# Would you rather be connected at the top of the head, or at the waist and why?
=I think it is better to be at the head than the waist, I don't know, it seem like if it's on the waist, it is somewhat more complicated than I thought than on the top of the head. Don't you think? Well, I don't really know...

# Make up a definition to the made up word "kituxilicious". Use it in a sentence.
= I search it online and I ended up on art or a name of a person. Well, then, The gallery of pictures is so kituxilicious. Or If you are on Mr. Kitux, then you will find him kituxilicious.

# Do you think there is something ultimately good about everyone?
=I think so. We all know that every human would feel compassion towards other people, even if how bad or abominable the person is. I think it is just a part of being a human after all.

# Would you relive your high school days? Why/why not?
=Sure why not because one of the exciting and fun times of my life is when I was in high school. It is just a teenager thing and I'm loving it.

Summer

This week on The Friday Five:

1. What do you love about Summer?
=Well, simple. I just love the feeling of freedom and the beauty of it all. Flowers, sunny days. Lazy days of relaxation. Breezy evenings, eating outdoor, I think it is heaven. Summer is the best time of year. It also reminds me of falling in love with my husband and all the fun we have together.

2. How many times you had a fun on summer?
=Well, I don't know but I think only a few. More of my time I was at home doing my blog updates, blogging my tasks assignments, and sometimes I go out with my son to play. Once my husband and I watched a movie, went to a zoo with our son, then, now we're planning to go to a water park but it was still tentative.

3. What mostly you like to do during summer time?
=Well, being on the beach, in an outdoor mall shopping, picnicking, and barbecuing that are some of the things I love to do during summer time!

4. Do you like the place where you live?
=Well, sort of. Though, the summer time is quite very short. We only have 4 to 5 months of summer here in Michigan which is a quite a 360 degree turn for me because living in a tropical country is what I used to live but now I'm already having summer, hot weather for 5 months. I'm missing it so badly though...

5. If you have given a chance, do you want to live in a tropical country?
=Well, I had been living in a tropical country for 21 years of my life and I guess this is where I'm going to stay after I retire. Living in a tropical country is the best, I'm missing it so bad but sometimes it demands too much which you wanted to escape.

Eat Healthy for a Healthy Skin

What are wrinkles? There are two types of wrinkles, intrinsic and extrinsic wrinkles. Intrinsic is known to be the natural way of aging, where people as they ages, their skin wrinkled and lost its elasticity then noticeable that sometimes called being old. Another type of wrinkle is extrinsic which was caused by natural environment like sunlight or even smoking. A lot of people used products to prevent their skin from aging and they also find ways on removing wrinkles at any costs. Some people settle with plastic/cosmetic surgery to do a facial lift or even a facial botox just to make them look younger. Others buy anti-aging cream or anti-wrinkle cream to soften their skin through intrinsic aging process.

Anyway, I know it is just a normal mode, but I know that eating healthy food is important to have a younger looking skin. We all know that through drinking alcohols and smoking is another way of ruining your skin faster. So, I think it always depend on the person of how he/she takes good care of himself.

GT: Financial Esteem

This week on Girls Talk is about I Love Me, Financially.

This is a second meme for this month of July and I was a bit late though since it was supposed to be up on Thursdays. I think time difference played a big part of it, I guess. Living in the other side of the world makes a lot of difference eh? Well, I was still glad that I could still be able to cope up with this meme and join my entry.

This week’s theme made me thought of what to share about me, financially. Well, I’m a stay at home mom; I don’t work outside of home rather I worked at home doing household chores and blogging. I’ve been blogging since October 2007 where my son was only about 9 months old. I have decided to stay home and do blogging where I didn’t expect to be my financial inception since then. Plus, it is a go0d reason to look after my son where at the same time, I could earn money from home.

Well, my husband used to give me allowance for buying my personal needs but when I started working on blog, I earned money of my own and that's where I asked him to stop giving me money, rather use it to pay bills which he was used to do. Maybe if you blog everyday and earn money from it, maybe you know what I was talking about.

Now, I could able to buy what I want, whenever I want to go shopping or go out with friends. Sometimes, I could able to save money and send some to my parents in the Philippines. I also have money to buy gifts for my husband and son during their birthdays which for me is quite special.

Well, I'm just fortunate enough to be among of those people who find a job online, I think.

Eczema Outbreak!

When my son was about newborn, he eventually developed skin acne called eczema. It worsens when the weather was cold, very cold or if the weather is too hot. My son at that time was so pitiful because I can’t do anything to help him get rid of his eczema. I also came to the point to put something on his face and body but I was hesitant. Until we went to see a pediatrician that also has knowledge about how to deal with eczema. Then, he prescribed us with an eczema treatmentswhich I find helpful enough to moderate my son’s eczema. He gave us two treatments at that time, one is a lotion to soothe irritation and the other one is a hydrocortisone for a temporary relief of itch and outbreak.

Now, when he’s old I noticed that he has no eczema outbreak anymore. It was suddenly disappear with no reason at all. I thought it might be something with what he eats before. I hope it will not come back anymore because it was too overwhelming for me and for my son as well.

Aloha Friday: Moving Out!

This week on Aloha Friday question is:

If you had to move to a state or country besides the one you currently live in, where would you move and why?

My answer is:

Yes, I will. If I could find a job somewhere else and need to relocate I would surely do it. If I need to move out of the country, then I will go back to my country home, Philippines. I already missed my family and friends over there and if I needed to move out of the country, then I will go back home.
If it's out of the country, I would rather move to a state that is warmer. Or the weather might be in the middle of heatwave and winter season. I don't want to live in a hot sunny days all year around, though, it is going to be like this in the Philippines but it is kind a humid over there. Nice weather all year around.
Well,if I need to move out of state, I would choose either Florida, Texas or California.

Post 4th Update

On 3x Thursday:

1. How was your 4th of July this year? What did you do?
=Our celebration was fine. We just went out to eat with my mother in law, brother in law and my boys. Then, we went out by the lake to watch fireworks on the bay...

2. Do you like the hub-bub of BBQs and events, or would you rather just stay home? Why/why not?
=I like going to events like barbecuing and picnicking but sometimes it is just a lot of work especially if you have a son to take good care of while doing some other things around. It just too much for me and sometimes it just overwhelming but it was fun. I had it last year and now I wanted something different.

3. Did you get to watch fireworks this year? If not, did you want to?
=Yes, I do. I think we watched it twice. One by us and one by the bay which is about 30 minutes away from where we lived.

I am thinking...of what to do today since Internet was out of line for a while...

I am thankful for...the Internet finally came back the last time hubby checked on it...so glad!!!

I am learning that…sometimes sleeping positions can cause mild wrinkles and guess what over exposure to the sun can be damaging as well that might lead to early aging. So over tanning might not be a good idea at all...

From the kitchen... I could smell the pork and chicken stew that I made for lunch...

I am wearing... shorts and tanks! It's so hot in here!

I am creating...any ideas now what to write on each of my blogs as a topic...

I am going...to the store later tonight to buy something for next week...
I am reading…some of my friend's posts on their facebook wall...

I am praying…that someday some people will wake up that it is not the end of the world yet, and we still have time to think over things twice...

Noticing that…I have quite a tan for this past few weeks now! I'm so glad!

I am hearing... my son was talking to himself as if he was playing trains and he was a pilot or something..

Around the house... toys everywhere as usual! Diaper bag is on the floor, the toy truck which supposed to be outside the garage is now here in the living room. Puzzles are everywhere and even my son's golf clubs are here! Wait! What was the shampoo doing here, is it supposed to be in the bathroom? UGh!

One of my favourite things...was to blog and update my blog. Playing games on Facebook, entering giveaways, listening to music and even window shopping!

A few plans for the rest of the week: Blogging, buy meat grocery, go spend time with family, watch movies at night. This coming weekend, we might go somewhere and maybe we will be out of the house for a while.

Facial Acne Nightmare

When I came here in US, six years ago, I started having problem with facial acne. I don’t know why but for a few months that I was here, I was having hard times dealing with my facial acne. It was depriving, I find myself very ugly in a thought that I wanted to go back home and just continue using the facial cleanser that I used to use while I was in the Philippines. I brought some with me but then it won’t work anymore. I don’t know but I was thinking that the weather might have something to do with it. Then, I got pregnant.

During my pregnancy was a night mare. My hormone was over the top of my head and I think my facial acne was millions that I couldn’t even picture my face anymore. It was exceptional. I never had those acne before but goof thing after I got pregnant I used a facial cleanser with salicylic acid in it. Then, I used a facial moisturizer to make my face moisturize during cold season, then I applied a night face cream to smoother and at the same time it relaxes my skin’s pores throughout the night. Since then, I don’t have problem with severe acne anymore. There's once in a while but not as much as what I had before. I was so glad that everything was fine now.

GT: I Love the WHOLE me!!!

This week on Girls Talk: Physically. This meme has a new host at BeautyQueenGene blog. I was kind a sad when I heard about that Girls Talk will be over but then things changed and so glad to hear that the meme was still alive and kicking! Thanks to Ms. Kaye for hosting this new Girls Talk meme and for Ms. Niko for keeping it running despite your busy schedules.

Anyway, this week's topic is so hard to deal with because I don't know if I really love myself physically. I couldn't find anything that made me exclaim, "Oh I love me" but I will try. I never see anything wrong with me maybe except with my hair and belly. I just hate my wavy hair and my post pregnancy belly fats but who cares, I still have to love myself no matter what!

Anyway, here are some of the pictures I took using my cellphone's camera to show some of the physical parts of me that I love like the most, maybe. My face absolutely! My husband loves my body, legs and my behind. He loves it too when I smile, well I knew already!! (naks!)

Dark Circles

Since I started sleeping late for these past couple days, I noticed some dark circles underneath my eyes, my husband said it was all because I was sleeping so late at night and get up early morning. So good thing I have found some eye cream for dark circles treatment, I could use to treat the dark circles. I never used one before but I will try one. Who knows it might work out for me. But before that, I went online first to read some of the current reviews of the said eye cream, to see if it’s really effective and safe to use.

As of now, I am trying to sleep early as much as I could and get enough sleep to get my beauty rest some revival. It’s ugly to have dark circles under my eye and I know I can do something about it.

My Daily Internet Routine

When I woke up in the morning, I usually do my personal thing, cook meals for my family and then go online to finish my pending tasks from previous night. First thing I do was to check if I have blogging assignments to do and when they were going to expire, check my face book games, then, check if I have some comments on my blog that need to be moderated. Then, go to giveaway blogs to enter and tweet it. Sometimes, I do update my blog daily and sometimes I visit blogs once in a while. I also do Entrecard (EC) dropping but only for if I have extra time to do so.

If I don’t have any tasks to do, I usually go to Yahoo messenger to talk to my family and friends. Surf the Internet for latest news. Sometimes I watched my favorite shows and movies online too for free. I also check if I have some emails from family and friends. I think that’s all I do every day on the Internet. Aside from that, there’s nothing really much about it.

Insurance is a Necessity

Moving to Texas or currently living in Texas? Whatever you may be, you are always in need of a new insurance. Then you can visit your local Texas car insurance today. It is always important to have car insurance. As a matter of fact, most people would rather have car insurance than owning a house because car insurance is where you can get secured and are safe while on the road. I guess these people are always out of their house most of the time I think for them to say that.

At first, I thought car or auto insurance was just a luxury, but I was wrong when my husband get into this mild accidents. Insurance cover most of the expenses we need and fixed our car without additional costs except with deductibles which increases by the next months. It helped us to get into a full control. To avoid high deductibles, it will help you to keep away from getting tickets and get into accidents.

For me, I would rather have a car insurance to protect me on the road than any other things. I think it is the same with having a home insurance and even health insurance as well. I think I have to consider it as a necessity this time.
